A little bit about me-Erin Rossi
I have been singing since I was 3 years old. My parents told me I sang before I actually said any words. I have been singing professionally for the past 20 plus years. I started off in choir as a kid and did a couple of plays, then sang for church ceremonies when I was 10 years old. At age 15, my high school choir teacher asked me to be the vocalist for his "all occasion band" called Second Shift. That's when I began singing for corporate events, private parties and wedding receptions. I have collaborated with some of the BEST musicians and singers in the Cleveland area. It is a blessing to be involved with such talented and wonderful people. My vocal style has been described as smoky, bluesy, and jazzy. Some of my influences are; Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Eva Cassidy, Buddy Miles, and Led Zeppelin (to name a few). In 1999 to 2000, I traveled from Cleveland to Jacksonville, FL to sing with an all female R&B group called IMACE. I have been with Jerry Bruno Productions www.jerrybruno.com since 1999 as a vocalist for the bands named; The Tony Camerato Band (TCB) and Rick and the Cutting Edge Band aka RACE. My newest project is working with the incrediblely talented Sam Romano. Our duo is called "Rossi & Romano". We also have Dwayne Dickman (the awesomely talented singer and guitarist) play with us. Adding Dwayne gives a beautiful 3 part harmony and can add some "edge" as well with some of Dwayne's songs he sings! Please come check us out! We play all types of music from Van Morrison, Aretha Franklin to Led Zeppelin. Sam plays his guitar, we sing, I play a little precussion and there you have it...a pure sound, no backing tracks! "Dieter's Blues Machine" is a NEW Blues Band that started in April of 2011. It is a 5 piece band but may go up to a 6 piece band depending on the needs. It's led by Dieter Jagiela, former guitar player for Big Joe Turner. Please check us out sometime!!! The "Brother's Blues Band" brothersbluesband.com/ is another project I am in as a "blusette". We pay tribute to the Blues Brother's movie and features Todd Meany from Fox 8 News and Rick Starnoni. Sammy Free is the creator of this project and I am happy to be involved in it! You may also hear me playing with "Shady Drive" a classic rock blues trio. They are fabulous and have since completed a demo CD with horns and piano, and I sing on 4 tracks! I have also sang in the "Really Big Show Band" with Tony Rizzo and Aaron Goldhammer from WKNR 850. When we get together, it's for Cleveland Fundraisers throughout the year. I recently took 2nd place with the great Jimmi Chance in the Cleveland Blues Society "Memphis Challenge" 2010 held at Wilbert's in Cleveland. I have sung the National Anthem for various Cleveland Professional Sporting events (the Cleveland CAVs, Cleveland Rockers, and Dan Bobish's Cage Fighting Events). Lastly you may still be able to catch me singing the jingle for the Mike Trivisonno Show, WTAM 1100, "We live in Ohio". Besides having a full time job in medical sales, music is my love and passion. I hope you will come out and hear me and see how passionate I am about what I do.
